The Best Boston Wedding Venue You've Never Heard of

Finding the perfect wedding venue can feel like looking for a needle in a haystack. Not only does the venue need to fit your vision and have the right capacity for your guest list, but it also needs to be within budget and close to your ceremony site. Not to mention that the Boston wedding market can feel like a crazy place, with hundreds of couples vying for the same dates and the city’s most sought after locations. Today we want to spotlight a hidden gem of a Boston wedding venue located less than 20 miles north of the city.

Glen Magna Farms is a historic mansion with sweeping gardens that offers tented receptions. This venue is perfect in the spring, summer and fall because of its premium sailcloth tent designed to protect you from the elements, should the need arise. They also offer an on-site ceremony option in their gardens, but if that’s not your style there are plenty of houses of worship nearby for a religious ceremony. Inside the mansion are bridal suites for the couple and bridal party to use to get ready or for photos.

As Boston wedding planners, we have seen a variety of wedding venues. Glen Magna wows guests and couples alike with its beauty and historic charm. Their grounds and tent are truly transformative, able to adapt to your vision with simple decorative touches. We have seen this venue lean into a garden party theme and also an upscale modern affair. This venue can hold 200 guests and is open from 11am to 11pm. It is currently owned by the Danvers Historical society. For more info and to schedule a tour, visit their site.
